Improving Coping Strategies for PhDs
Text Box: Skills taught on this course can be applied to other aspects of life.
PhD students often balance demanding studies with other commitments e.g. employment, family, health problems etc. They may become isolated, anxious and stressed. Even if things are going well it can be beneficial to share experiences with others.
The sessions are experiential and there will be opportunities to exchange ideas and support.
Although these workshops will be run as a course for improving coping strategies they may be attended individually.
After the course it is envisaged that students may wish to continue to meet regularly for shared support.
Please check the Counselling Service website for information about additional workshops.
