REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS
Please present the repeat slip, attached to your previous prescription,
to the receptionist in person or in writing and allow 48 hours
before collecting. We regret that we cannot sanction telephone
requests. A stamped addressed envelope should accompany requests
made during the vacations if you are unable to collect in person.
Repeat medication will usually require review by a doctor at six
monthly intervals.
RESULTS OF LABORATORY INVESTIGATIONS AND X-RAYS
Most blood test results are received from the laboratory within
of 2-3 working days but this can vary.
Other samples (e.g. throat swabs, urine and stool specimens) requiring
bacterial analysis may take longer to incubate.
Xray and scan results may take up to 10 working days.
You may attend in person or telephone the receptionist for your
results after 2pm Monday to Friday. She may be able to tell you
herself or may refer you to a nurse for more detailed information.
Cervical smears take a minimum of 6 weeks and will be sent to
you. Please supply a stamped addressed envelope when you attend
for your appointment.
